Students tackled biodiversity challenges at the 2nd edition of the ReBuild Challenge

From the 30th of November to the 1st of December, the hackathon for the second edition of the ReBuild Challenge took place at UM6P Campus in Benguerir, followed by the semi-final on the 5th of December. This edition was organized in partnership with StartGate, the OCP Foundation, the Rebuild Initiative, the Social Experience Program, l’Agence Nationale des Eaux et Forêts, and the High Atlas Foundation.

Focused on biodiversity, The challenge invited UM6P students to develop sustainable solutions for protecting and restoring biodiversity. Participants addressed four key areas: Sustainable Agriculture, Ecological Infrastructure, Water and Renewable Energy Management, and Socio-Economic Development. Five winning projects were selected for the final phase and will receive entrepreneurial support from StartGate to refine their innovations.
