Postdoctoral researcher Sabah Belil among 10 MENA initiatives leaders for arab women empowerment workshop

Sabah Belil, a postdoctoral researcher at the Green Tech Institute, was selected to participate in a training workshop organized by the Egyptian Women Lawyers Association. This workshop, dedicated to empowering Arab women, took place over five days in Cairo as part of the “Support and Strengthen the Capacities of Arab Women’s Initiatives and Movements 2024” project, funded by the Swedish organization Diakonia. The ten participating initiatives were selected from many women-led initiatives across the MENA region, following a process that shortlisted only those with high potential for impact. Sabah had the opportunity to lead the “Mouakaba” initiative, which supports women’s cooperatives in Morocco by enhancing women’s capabilities and sustainably developing their projects.
