PhD student Ilias Azizi won VLDB 2024 travel grant to present research on Billion-Scale Data 

Ilias Azizi, a PhD student at the College of Computing, co-supervised by Prof. Karima Echihabi and Prof. Themis Palpanas, has been awarded the VLDB 2024 Travel Grant. Thanks to this grant, llias will be able to present his paper titled “Vector Search on Billion-Scale Data Collections” at the VLDB PhD Workshop in Guangzhou, China. VLDB is recognized as one of the top international forums for data management and scalable data science, attracting leading researchers, practitioners, and innovators from around the world. The 2024 edition will feature over 250 research presentations, keynote talks, panels, tutorials, and workshops, making it a key event in the field.
