Green Energy Park Expands: New Subsidiary Launched in Côte d’Ivoire

Five years after making its first foray into Côte d’Ivoire as part of a project in partnership with the Institut national polytechnique Houphouët-Boigny, Green Energy Park is preparing to consolidate its steps in the land of elephants.

The research and innovation center dedicated to solar energy, which came into being in 2017 following an unprecedented partnership between the Institut de Recherche en Énergie Solaire et Énergies Renouvelables (IRESEN), the OCP Group, and Mohammed VI Polytechnique University, is putting the finishing touches to the creation of a subsidiary based in Abidjan.

The mission of the future entity will be to support public and private operators in Côte d’Ivoire in their solar energy efficiency projects, but it will also replicate the model of the Moroccan parent company by dealing with applied research topics and offering practical training to students, doctoral candidates, and researchers.
