Emotional Intelligence in Schools: An Engaging Debate at CLC Debate Club

On the 4th of February, the Learning Center hosted a debate between the Cultural Club Team and the CLC Debate Club Team at UM6P Campus in Benguerir on the topic: “Schools should prioritize teaching emotional intelligence over traditional academic subjects.”

The discussion highlighted the importance of technical subjects in training professionals like doctors and engineers while also emphasizing the role of emotional intelligence in leadership, teamwork, and adaptability. The audience contributed diverse perspectives, adding depth to the exchange.

After the debate, the Cultural Club Team was declared the winner. The event raised important questions about balancing academic knowledge and emotional intelligence in education.
