Exploring the origins of the universe and the deep connections between science, philosophy, and faith!
March 10th & 11th | UM6P Campus in Benguerir

The Center for Doctoral Studies of UM6P (CEDoc) and the Center “Science and the Quest for Meaning” are organizing, on March 10 & 11, 2025, within the Riad Center, a seminar around how the universe began? How science and philosophy shaped our understanding of origins, causality, and existence?
This event will foster interdisciplinary discussions that bridge scientific discovery, philosophical inquiry, and spiritual perspectives. Expect discussions on everything from the Big Bang and quantum entanglement to how ancient thinkers like Ibn Sînâ and Al-Ghazâlî influenced modern science.
Join Dr. Bruno Guiderdoni, Dr. Inès Safi, CNRS researchers and experts in cosmology and quantum physics, as they take us on a journey through cosmology, quantum physics, and the deep connections between science, philosophy, and faith.
Professor Raphael Liogier, IAS Scientific Director, will also give a presentation, offering insights from his expertise in scientific thought and interdisciplinary research.
