Welcoming the new generation of PhD scholars in Benguerir

On October 16–17, 2025, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic hosted its Doctoral Days at the Benguerir campus, marking the start of the academic journey for a new cohort of PhD students.
The event opened with remarks from Mr. Hicham El Habti, President of UM6P, who shared the University’s vision for advancing research and innovation. He was followed by Dr. Rachid Elfatimy, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Head of the Center for Doctoral Studies (CEDoc), who presented the center’s mission to guide and support doctoral candidates throughout their academic journey.
Over two days, participants engaged in poster sessions and oral presentations, showcasing their research projects to academic committees and peers. The most outstanding works were recognized during the closing ceremony, underscoring UM6P’s commitment to academic rigor and excellence.
Beyond presentations, the event fostered exchange and collaboration among students, supervisors, and researchers — strengthening UM6P’s growing doctoral community and reinforcing its role as a hub for innovative and impactful research in Africa.
