A strategic alliance for advanced manufacturing and talent development

In a move set to reshape industrial innovation across the continent, Boeing has announced a strategic partnership with the Africa Center of Manufacturing Excellence (ACME), a collaborative R&D hub based at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic. This alliance aims to boost advanced manufacturing capabilities and foster innovation across key sectors in Africa.
The partnership underscores Boeing’s commitment to sustainable development and local talent investment, especially in Morocco, where the company has maintained a strong presence for over 70 years.
Through this collaboration with ACME, Boeing will help strengthen technological innovation while contributing to the training of a new generation of highly skilled engineers, technicians, and researchers in aerospace and beyond.
For UM6P, the partnership reflects a shared vision of bridging academia and industry. “Our alliance with Boeing reflects our ambition to converge research, industrial excellence, and talent development,” said UM6P President Hicham El Habti. “Together, we are building a platform that connects scientific knowledge to private-sector challenges, reinforcing Africa’s role in the global value chain.”
The initiative also builds on Boeing’s longstanding involvement in Morocco’s educational and social ecosystem, including partnerships with EFE-Maroc, INJAZ Al-Maghrib, and Amideast, as well as support for organizations like AMSAT, which works with individuals living with Down syndrome.
