UM6P Local Debate Competition: The Journey to Nationals Begins Here

Get ready for a stunning showdown of minds at UM6P’s Local Debate Competition! Presented by the Outloud Student Club in partnership with SOLE, the activity will bring together quick-witted debaters in WSDC mode. Featuring Arabic, French, and English language options, the competition offers an uncommon platform for students to prove their capabilities.

On March 25th, UM6P Benguerir Campus will host the UM6P Local Debate Competition, titled “A Battle of Minds—The Road to Nationals Begins Here.” This event is organized by the Outloud Student Club in collaboration with SOLE (Student Organizations, Leadership & Engagement). The competition will be conducted in the World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC) format.
In preparation, sessions were held on 21st, 22nd, and 23rd to provide participants with an understanding of the WSDC format and to equip them with necessary debating tools. These sessions focused on enhancing argumentation techniques and quick-thinking abilities.
The competition will accommodate debates in Arabic, French, or English, allowing students to compete in the language they are most proficient in. This ensures that all students can participate effectively and showcase their best skills.
