OCP Africa, the World Bank and Niger join forces

OCP Africa, a subsidiary of the OCP Group, has signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the Republic of Niger.

This partnership, supported by the World Bank, underscores OCP Africa’s commitment to sustainable agricultural development and to improving the quality of life of Niger’s farmers.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony in Niamey, in the presence of Niger’s Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Minister of Mines, World Bank representatives, and key stakeholders from the agricultural and mining sectors.

This tripartite partnership, stemming from the agreement signed between OCP Group and the World Bank on the sidelines of the Marrakech annual meetings in October 2023, aims to transform the agricultural sector through innovative and inclusive initiatives designed to benefit Niger’s smallholder farmers.
