The vision 2030 interviews: How might the vision 2030 impact UM6P’s future?

“Vision 2030” is becoming the university’s strategic roadmap. It not only defines UM6P’s development tools and tactics but also what can contribute to making the university a distinctive environment. We are talking about our history, meaning that we are unifying behind the same narrative and the same story, and sharing that story with the rest of the world and with the external community, which makes this process worthwhile. It was incredible to see how the collective effort to think about “Vision 2030” perfectly matched the university’s main focus in terms of research, innovation as well as education, and this is something we’re very proud of in the execution of this project. 

At UM6P, Community Engagement is a key lever for driving positive change and fostering long-term success. Accordingly, our University strives to involve its community to contribute together to serve its priorities, with “Vision 2030” at the top of the list. Our objective is to cultivate engaged communities based on sharing experiences and fostering a strong sense of unity with the spirit of «One UM6P». Within our ecosystem, we have multiple communities based across different campuses. For the “Vision 2030” initiative, the more engaged the community is and the more they contribute to co-create this vision, the easier it will be for them to embrace it, as they will be the ambassadors going forward. Our approach is inclusive from the beginning, involving all members of UM6P communities, including students, staff and faculty members, researchers… regardless of their age groups, or management levels. We aim to continue this learning loop until 2030 to keep the contributors at the core. This aligns perfectly with the human-centered vision of the University, where humans are at the heart of action and dynamism. Therefore, it is natural for the vision to be inspired by this model. 

As a school, “Vision 2030” is perfectly resonant with our founding mission, which is to build smarter collaborations everywhere. My message to the UM6P community is that your opinion, your talents, and your intelligence matter and what you believe the future of this University should be. “Vision 2030” will be your vision and it depends on your commitment to create it.
