Morocco at the Africa CEO Forum: A New Deal in the Making
Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire — May 13, 2025

From the ports of Tanger Med to the research labs of UM6P, Morocco made a united appearance at the 12th Africa CEO Forum in Abidjan, representing a robust alliance of public and private institutions.
With delegations from OCP Group, the Ministry of Investment, Casablanca Financial City, and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, the Moroccan presence was both symbolic and strategic — signaling the country’s long-term positioning as a pan-African economic partner.
Held under the theme “Can a new public-private deal reshape the continent?” the forum gathered over 2,800 participants, including presidents, prime ministers, and CEOs from across Africa. The challenge: to build trust and unlock investment through better governance and faster integration of the AfCFTA. As Côte d’Ivoire’s President Ouattara put it, the time has come to transform Africa’s raw materials and turn dialogue into concrete, ambitious commitments. The urgency of youth employment, AI-powered governance, and local production resilience dominated high-level discussions.
Amidst ministers and multinationals, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic reinforced its role as a strategic enabler — bridging research, education, and entrepreneurship. Its participation in the forum reflects a growing acknowledgment: universities are no longer peripheral to development but central to shaping solutions. From sustainability to AI, UM6P’s model is aligned with the forum’s call for stronger public-private ecosystems capable of delivering inclusive growth across Africa
