Showcasing Science for Impact—UM6P at the Heart of Agricultural Transformation
At SIAM 2025, UM6P showcased its science-driven approach to transforming agriculture across Morocco and Africa. From soil health to water efficiency, the university’s research is setting the pace for sustainable and resilient food systems.

From the 21st to the 27th of April, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 17th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM) took place in the city of Meknes.
University Mohammed VI Polytechnic took part in this event, reaffirming the role of agriculture as a key pillar of its research and innovation strategy. The university was represented by the College of Agriculture, bringing together contributions from its entities based in Benguerir and at the African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) in Laayoune.
UM6P’s participation highlighted ongoing work in agricultural innovation, technology transfer, and sustainability, with a particular focus on scalable research, local adaptation, and the development of resilient food systems. Through its presence, UM6P engaged with national and international stakeholders in agriculture, fostering dialogue around research-driven approaches to food security and environmental challenges.
