A multi-campus visit exploring political participation, cultural identity, and inclusive citizenship

From November 4 to 7, 2025, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Fatima Zibouh, a Belgian political scientist of Moroccan origin, known for her work on diversity, inclusion, and civic participation.
Her visit, organized as part of the UM6P Associates network, brought together students, faculty, researchers, and cultural actors across the Rabat and Benguerir campuses for a series of meaningful exchanges.
Dialogues with Students and Researchers
At the Rabat campus, Dr. Zibouh met with students from the Club de Politique et Diplomatie Marocaines (CPDM) for an engaging discussion on political representation and civic engagement.
She also presented her book, Belgica Biladi, in a session moderated by Professor Deborah Perez, offering insights into identity, belonging, and diasporic narratives.
During her visit to Benguerir, Dr. Zibouh held conversations with the Socio-Economic Impact Institute (SEII), led by Dr. Bouchra Rahmouni, as well as with Mr. Saad Tazi, Head of the Open Minds, Art & Culture Department. These exchanges explored the role of culture in social development, particularly within rapidly evolving societies.
Returning to Rabat, she contributed to the course Public Participation in Policy-Making with students from the Faculty of Governance, Economics & Social Sciences (FGSES), sharing her expertise on inclusive citizenship and participatory public policies.


A Visit Rooted in Dialogue, Learning, and Cultural Understanding
Dr. Zibouh’s multi-campus visit reflected UM6P’s mission to foster dialogue across disciplines, connect cultures, and promote societal engagement.
Her interactions with the UM6P community highlighted the importance of integrating research, culture, and civic responsibility in shaping future leaders committed to positive social transformation.
