Global experts convene to shape the future of sustainable plant nutrition

University Mohammed VI Polytechnic hosted the International Fertilizer Association (IFA) Strategic Forum 2025 at its Rabat campus, welcoming global leaders, experts, and innovators from across the fertilizer and plant nutrition sectors.
Participants engaged in high-level discussions on the transformations shaping global agriculture, exploring emerging challenges in sustainability, climate resilience, and soil health. The event reaffirmed UM6P’s role as a catalyst for dialogue and collaboration within global agricultural innovation networks.

Strategic Dialogues for a Changing Industry
Hosted at African Business School (ABS), the forum featured interactive sessions focused on:
- Plant nutrition trends and long-term sustainability strategies in the fertilizer sector.
- Climate change and soil carbon sequestration, addressing both challenges and opportunities for sustainable farming systems.
- Nutrient recycling and circular economy models, highlighting innovative pathways for responsible fertilizer production.
The forum also featured the active participation of GPI (Global Phosphorus Institute), APNI (African Plant Nutrition Institute), and OCP Nutricrops, further strengthening the collaborative ecosystem connecting science, industry, and sustainability.

Organized in partnership with the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), the Strategic Forum underscored UM6P’s commitment to supporting the transition toward sustainable plant nutrition systems—both in Africa and globally.
By hosting this event, UM6P once again positioned itself as a hub for forward-looking ideas, scientific exchange, and impact-driven action, contributing to the shared goal of ensuring food security through innovation and collaboration.
