This vision is embodied by Mounir Ourekouch, a PhD student and Data Scientist at UM6P, whose research paper was accepted at the 22nd European Semantic Web Conference (ESWC 2025). Co-supervised by Prof. Mohammed Erradi and Prof. Mohammed Amine Koulali, Ourekouch’s achievement highlights UM6P’s growing leadership in AI-driven web technologies, linked data, and knowledge graph research—fields at the heart of the digital transformation revolution.
Pioneering Work in Semantic Web and AI
The paper, titled “RelCheck: Improving Relation Extraction with Ontology-Guided and LLM-Based Validation”, explores innovative ways to enhance how artificial intelligence systems extract and validate relationships between data points. By combining ontology-based reasoning with Large Language Models (LLMs), the study bridges structured knowledge with machine learning—pushing the boundaries of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Knowledge Graph Construction.

Presented during the Research Track at ESWC 2025 (June 1–5, 2025), Ourekouch’s paper stood among contributions from some of the most prominent global researchers in the field.
