UM6P took part in RUFORUM’s second triennial forum in Namibia

During this month, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic participated in RUFORUM’s Second Triennial Forum, which took place in Windhoek, Namibia. This event brought together leaders in research, education, and the agricultural sector to discuss innovations and strategies essential to transforming education and agriculture in Africa. 

As a member of the TagDev2.0 project consortium, UM6P was represented by Mr. Adnane Alaoui Soulimani – Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab, Ms. Jihane Oumato – Associate Program Officer, and Mr. Bouchaib Bounouar of UM6P Africa Initiative. This participation testifies to UM6P’s commitment to strengthening agricultural education and research ecosystems, a key sector for tackling the continent’s growing food security challenges. 

The event’s central conference was themed “Operationalizing Agricultural Education and Research Ecosystems for Innovation, Industrialization and Economic Development in Africa”, which offered a platform for exploring the crucial role that higher education can play in addressing current and future agricultural challenges.
