Youth from across Morocco engage in civic dialogue as part of the Youth National Forum

From dialogue to decision-making: young Moroccans gather to shape public policy

From June 12 to 14, the Rabat Campus of UM6P hosted the first edition of the National Youth Forum, initiated by the Club for Moroccan Politics and Diplomacy (CPDM) at FGSES and supported by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication. Bringing together over 50 young participants from across Morocco’s 12 regions and the diaspora, the forum created a national stage for civic dialogue, enabling youth to collaborate on policy proposals and engage with decision-makers in a structured, participatory environment. With workshops, panels, and guided co-writing sessions, the program aimed to empower a new generation of citizens to contribute meaningfully to public life.

Beyond symbolic inclusion, the forum offered a hands-on legislative experience. Young participants worked in groups to draft citizen-led proposals on key national issues, guided by public policy experts and legal professionals. The ambition was clear: bridge the gap between youth aspirations and the realities of public governance. By translating dialogue into concrete policy drafts, the forum fostered a culture of active citizenship—one where youth are not only observers of democracy but its architects.

As host of this pioneering event, UM6P reaffirmed its role as a civic catalyst. More than just an academic institution, the university provided an inclusive and future-oriented space where political learning meets real-world impact. The Rabat Campus became a hub for dialogue, diversity, and democratic innovation—amplifying youth voices and reinforcing UM6P’s commitment to preparing change agents capable of shaping Morocco’s future from within.
