130 changemakers from 30 countries meet at UM6P for a new continental agenda

From July 17 to 19, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) hosted the second edition of the Bridge Africa Summit at its Benguerir campus. The event convened 130 young leaders from over 30 African countries to reflect on new leadership models aligned with the continent’s major transitions. Organized around three key phases—immersion, co-creation, and commitment—the program tackled themes such as public policy, social innovation, and the political economy of transformation. Standout moments included a keynote by Amadou Diaw on the role of African elites, and a hands-on workshop by Professor Hamid Bouchikhi on alternative economic models for the continent.
In the opening session, welcoming remarks by UM6P President Hicham El Habti and Bridge Africa Chair Khalid Baddou underscored the importance of collective responsibility and a shared African vision to shape the leadership of tomorrow.
