Water scarcity – Interview with Tarik Chfadi, lecturer and researcher at iWRI, UM6P

In this video, Tarik Chfadi, a lecturer and researcher at the International Water Research Institute (IWRI), raises concerns about water availability that has become even scarcer compared to previous years. Such scarcity is due to various factors, such as climate change, global warming, over-usage, and unsustainable habits. Mr. Tarik stresses that there is a need to develop solutions that respond to the demands of local communities while sustaining the ways of life underwater preservation rules and values.

Although this comes with a lot of costs, innovative alternatives or solutions around water are core and center to gain the acceptance of the public. According to Mr. Tarik Chfadi, the ever-changing natural conditions, to a larger extent, dictate the forms of production humans should integrate during the production processes, and the obligation to adapt and apply distinct technologies to reduce the costs of water production based on the data, trends, needs and risks.
