Scientists from UM6P proposed the use of luminescent solar concentrators in greenhouses and agrivoltaic installations

Congratulations to Prof. Omar Moudam and his PhotoVoltaic team, Mr. Othmane Essahili, Dr. Mouad OUAFI, Dr. Sarah Derbali, and Dr. Mohamed Ilsouk, at the Applied Chemistry and Engineering Research Centre of Excellence (ACER CoE, for their work at UM6P being recently selected by and featured in pv magazine Global.

Prof. Moudam and his team have proposed using luminescent solar concentrators for power generation in greenhouses and Agrivoltaic projects. These new transparent solar cells can produce electricity in low-light illumination and convert ultraviolet light to visible light that could be used for crops. Learn more
