On the 29th of January, the Research Center for Arabic Classical Philosophy and Philosophy of Sciences is hosting a lecture titled “Islam and Faith: From Doctrinal Premises to Contemporary Perspectives” as part of the seminar series “Arabic Philosophy and Islamic Theology in the Classical Age.”
The lecture, delivered by Amal Belkamel, a post-doctoral researcher at ACPPS, will examine the concepts of islām and faith within Islamic thought. It will trace their Qur’anic and doctrinal roots, highlight key distinctions, and discuss contemporary interpretations, particularly those of Muhammad Shahrour.
