UM6P’s Strategic Showcase of Technology and Sustainable Development at Africa’s Leading Tech Forum
From April 14th to 16th, 2025, University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) actively participated in the third edition of GITEX AFRICA, held in Marrakech under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. As Africa’s largest technology and startup exhibition, GITEX Africa brought together over 400 organizations—including global technology leaders, governments, investors, and entrepreneurs from more than 130 countries—to showcase cutting-edge innovations shaping Africa’s digital future. Since its inception, UM6P has been a foundational partner of this significant continental forum, reinforcing its commitment to technological advancement and socio-economic growth.
Showcasing Multidisciplinary Innovation
At GITEX AFRICA 2025, UM6P exhibited over twelve departments and programs, marking their inaugural presence at this renowned event. The university’s exhibition reflected its multidisciplinary ecosystem, with prominent showcases spanning digital innovation, deeptech solutions, artificial intelligence (AI), and applied research. Booths featured advanced digital platforms, AI-driven technologies, early-stage prototypes, and practical innovations in vital sectors such as health, education, agriculture, energy, and smart infrastructure. This diverse portfolio illustrated UM6P’s dedication to addressing societal challenges through impactful science and entrepreneurial initiatives.

UM6P’s faculty and researchers significantly contributed to high-level panel discussions and workshops, offering African-led insights into pressing themes, including digital sovereignty, data governance, AI-driven job creation, youth empowerment, climate-resilient technologies, and inclusive innovation.
